As the subject of your personal data (name, e-mail, telephone, IP address, location, browsing patterns, information contained in your CV, etc.) you have the right to self-determination. Brazil’s Internet civil framework (art. 7, VIII) and General Data Protection Law (art. 18) guarantee that you have a right to receive clear information about the use, collection, storage and protection given to your personal data.
Article 18 of the General Data Protection Law establishes that the subject of personal data may request, at any time, the following procedures:
CONFIRMATION of data processing;
ACCESS to data;
CORRECTION of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
ANONYMIZATION, BLOCKING or DELETION of unnecessary or excessive data or data processed in breach of the General Data Protection Law;
Portability of data to another service or product provider, by means of an express request in accordance with the regulation of the national authority, subject to commercial and industrial secrets
Deletion of personal data processed with the consent of the data subject, except in cases of compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation by the controller and study by a research body, but ensuring the anonymization of personal data whenever possible;
Transfer of data to a third party, provided that the data processing requirements set out in the General Data Protection Law or exclusive use of the controller are respected; with access by a third party being prohibited, and provided that the data is anonymized;
Information on the public and private entities with which the controller shared the use of data;
Information about the possibility of not providing consent and about the consequences of denial; and revocation of consent, through a free and simple procedure, confirming the processing performed under the protection of the previously expressed consent.
